Getting stuck, skidding, and any other factors that cannot be control explain why winter driving sucks. But after today’s “small” accident, I finally got a chance to experience firsthand how sh*tty winter driving really is! This is a lesson you can’t learn from school. That is, drive extremely slow during winter, and always give yourself some buffer time because when you’re in a hurry, it’s more likely that you’ll end up in an accident and missing the whole damn class or other places that you were to go to. Don’t learn it the hard way.
Good Luck!!

michaelpanda: Lol. Yea, I’m OK. It’s good to know that I’m not the only one running into these crappy winter accidents - not saying it’s a good thing. Oh. And my first reaction right after the accident was yelling out F**K! Haha.

oh noes!! are you okay ben!? i remember my own little “small” accident last winter and that evil old man and all the trouble he put me through! I hope your car - and you - are okay!
i remember back when i was about 16, i was driving to work one day on this narrow icy road in wisconsin lined with ditches on both sides and my car hit a patch of black ice and suddenly spun like a full 360 before coming to a stop, one rear wheel half hanging off the embankment just about to tip over into the ditch (actually a creek of a significant depth) below.
I don’t think i have ever been so scared in my life, i just sat there for like 2 minutes too afraid to move lest my car tip over and i drown to death in the frozen water….
let’s just say it was fortunate i had a front wheel drive car - if it has been RWD, i would have been screwed!
lol guess that isn’t helping you with winter driving huh?
