Finally, first year university is over. Which means at last I have time to treat myself with a little Xbox-ing. At least that what I have thought.
Here’s how the story begins. Before cramming for my final exams, I had already encountered problem with the screen freezing (it happened more then once) while I was playing NHL® 07 and I thought it’s just a minor defect that happens to everyone so I just left it thinking it wasn’t a big deal. Now today, after I drove my parents to the airport, I came home hoping to play some Table Tennis but the Xbox 360 f**king froze in the opening scene and I can’t even log into the dashboard. I tried all the recommendations on the Help and Support page except for the ones that I have to delete my game files since you do that in the dashboard which I can’t get in. My final solution is to call Customer Service which I eventually did.
I phoned in and there’s this AI dude that asked me how he may help me and all I have to do is keep saying crap that he doesn’t understand until he redirects me to a real person. Here comes the only good part in this mess. A girl with a really cute voice and whom also speaks really fast answered my call. During the ‘conversation’, I had to keep saying ‘pardon me’ and ‘can you say that again’, and she’ll patiently repeat her message. In the end, we came to an agreement that she’ll send me a box and I am to put my Xbox 360 into the box to exchange for another Xbox 360. At the very least, this shows that Microsoft is being responsible in situation like this, and that they’re also hiring right people to answer phone calls such as this cute voice lady.

On the side note, Calgary was recently named the World’s Cleanest City by Forbes which I don’t see how since my car’s windshield just got smashed my a rock chip while I was driving to school. In the image below, it shows that the crack had spread in tremendous speed in the time span of Tuesday to Thursday.

This shows that ranking by these so-called big cooperates cannot be trusted. Speaking of which, it reminds me of The Departed winning the Best Picture in the Academy Award. WTF! How was it possible that this movie won? It’s full of pointless swears, unnecessary sex jokes, and crappy acting that contribute nothing to the movie except for making it a piece of sh*t. Big Sh*t! It’s also shameful that they didn’t pay any respect to Hong Kong’s film industry who originally wrote the script and created the far more superior movie - Infernal Affairs.
To sum up the post, I just want to ask why on earth is my Xbox 360 letting me down when I need it the most!? And I wonder what’s that girl with the super cute voice really look like.

Andrew: Haha. Good work for your BSEN. I got a A- for my final mark which I’m pretty happy with. And for sure, we should definitely chill during the break.

Comment by nDru 04.29.07 @ 11:45 pmhey man!
damn that sucks about the windshield!!
and also a friend of mine (who was a very cute canadian herself!) used to work for microsoft. she said all the people who answered the phones at her microsoft call center were girls. and if she was any example, they were all as cute as their voices sounded!
i asked her if anyone ever came on to her over the phone and she said only once. she also said it was kinda endearing so you never know buddy!! ![]()
Congrats on 1-year of college being done! woo…I got less that 1 week left myself (*dances). I agree, though I enjoyed The Departed, Infernal Affairs > The Departed. ^_^ peaces
